My new 75 gal.

Ok, so its just fresh water and I still need a permant sump and need to put the doors back on and need to build a hood. But other than that I am ready to go! Had a problem with one of the bulkheads leaking in the overflow. And the mag 7 return is acting up (does not always want to start up). But other than that, its all good!

Will be combining my 2 20 gal nanos and 10 gal frag tank into this one. Will have a lot of good nano stuff for sale in the near future.

Have to make a hood. I made the one below for my 10 gal plant tank and am pretty happy with it as its my first hood.

I like that hood....what stain did you use? I would really recommend sealing the inside of the SW tank hood with Kilz or something, as the salt moisture will eventually invade the wood and cause big rot problems....just a recommendation, as we like to think of out reef setups lasting a long time without having to tear down....and a stand or hood turning to crap could become a huge mess....

The hood is not stained on the inside, but is urethaned....2x coat! The stain I used was a black from lowes. The stand in my bedroom is black also, so did it to match. Still need to do a little sanding. It closed fine before the urethane but after was a little tight. The 75 gal will have the same design with a few extra tweaks like vents for the light fans and moonlights!

Nice. Im debating setting up a malawi cichlid tank. Local LFS has a awesome looking one.
