Who's going to the Coral Farmers Market this Sat?

it was packed! almost too many people in to small of a area, it must have been 75F in that room!!! :D
we got some cool frags though. great event

Yes...great event indeed. Steve Tyree said that over 500 people showed up. It was good to put a few faces to names. Packed but was worth it....and spent a lot more than I expected.

What did everyone pick up at the CFM? I picked up the iron man blasto and pink diamond zoas from reef raft and a nice blasto merletti from WWC

I was there in the afternoon, and wasn't really buying although I did end up coming home with a handful of cheapy frags because I don't have a proper tank setup now, just a temporary one (indoor outdoor lagoon pond :D). I figure by the time I get a proper tank setup (later this year? next year? a few years after?) I might have some minicolonies to colonies (assuming I don't kill them).

One vendor had an absolute ton of anemones but the tank they were in was super cloudy and they did not look very well off at all. I'm guessing they were bubble tips but many were all inside out, and not very well colored at all if they were bubble tips, like they bleached out a bunch.

Overall though, I'm not sure if there was a lot of great things, but in the afternoon I saw lots of stuff I wouldn't mind in my tank, and for me that is better than any named special edition whatever coral.

I never know there were so many reefers in the area. Got there a little after noon and the place was packed. I waited a few min to getting in.

I was surprised by many vendors sell coral at hobby prices.
WD sps $150 1in ( sold out) really nice multi branch one for $325
OP sps $125
Many RR and BC at good prices
Rommel watermelon , sunset $80-100? 2 in
OT, cal tort, joe the coral,Red planet many others old school sps $20 2in mult b 30
Bounce mush $300
4-5 Yuma on rock for $40
Youreef from sac has some great stuff (buy3 get one free)

I picked up corals from local reefers and just a few frags from vendors.
Nice to see a lot of those name corals in person. Not the gel filter 20k black light pic online.
Anyone get some good deals at the end ?

Damn should have gone earlier, I would have loved to get some of those old school corals back. Didn't really see much of them by the end of the show.

I saw a few nice acro frags I was interested in, but it seemed every coral I liked was $200+. I guess I have good taste? :headwally: I ended up going home empty handed. I'd rather buy from fellow reefers at more realistic prices.

On the flyer they handed out it said they will be back at a bigger venue (west valley?) sometime in August I think. Thought that might be interesting to anyone that may have missed this one. :wavehand:

Pick-up 2 frags of RR cotton candy goniopora and RR crazy T from reef raft
A nice size darth maul favia from another vendor
I'm satisfied with the price
