Well seems as if we all got the same zoas 8D.

Yeah, bottom of the tank under 20k halides works well. They totally don't like too much carbon. Carbon sucks the color right now of them.

Thats the first i have heard of carbon doing that. I run carbon aggressively and always have.
The only things i have lost color on is some blues, and thats because i run too much light for them.

i agree, i run carbon 24/7 and dare someone to say my zoas don't have good color. if zoas are so light dependent why wouldn't clearer water help them. perhaps mr. ugly saw the effects of carbon bleaching his zoas from the clearer water and more light penetration.
carbon is cheap and effective, something rare in this hobby
