Who's running an air exchanger?

Anyone running an air exchanger? If so, what brand and model? And what are your general experience?

Definitely running one, I had to for 220G of water, now at 750G still no noticeable condensation in the house in cool weather. I can't remember the exact specs, but is a lifebreath and was a standard 2000sq ft house model (the HVAC guy said there was lots of capacity for a humid environment) and price was under $2K installed.

I am doing the same thing but specifically to pump fresh air into our equipment room about 130 sqf. I am choosing to filter this small zone using and 67 cfm fantech HRV 704 not designed for a large whole house application.
I think it will do around 1100 sqf, might want to look one up to be sure.
Hope this helps

Do you run this unit continuously? How quiet is it and how much energy does it consume? Do you do the installation yourself?

My unit is very quiet, less than a normal house furnace fan. The only thing you need to change is that your furnace fan needs to run 24/7 (not on demand which is the other setting) to be able to circulate the exchanged air in the house.

Definitely not a noisy unit.

Do you have a link to purchase this HRV?

I put in a vanEE Gold series HRV in my house when I had my 140g tank running.
It made a HUGE difference in the air quality in the house with such a large tank.

I fitted it up so that there are exhaust air intakes in both my bathrooms, the kitchen and the fish room. There are push-button timers in each bathroom and the kitchen that kicks the HRV into high speed mode. This replaces my existing bathroom fans and keeps the bathrooms dry and fresh smelling year round. No musty smell from the shower humidity.

For the tank it worked wonders; we had huge humidity problems with such a large aquarium -- after we put in the HRV the problem went away entirely.

Your welcome,
But I did some thinking after noticing you are in Florida.
If my memory serves me correctly you should look at fantech's demographic chart for picking the correct ventilator for your region.

I am located in central Illinois with so called longer heating seasons, while in your region I think they actually specify for a Energy Recovery Ventilator for you with prolonged cooling seasons.
Before you purchase make sure you investigate this a bit more. It sounds like the HRV would work, but the ERV is more specific to working with your homes air conditioning, I think the prices are about the same. Hope this information didn't come too late.
