Who's your best algae eater in your tank? (SPS safe of course)
It can be crabs, snails, fish etc...
What kind of algae do they eat?

The reason i ask is because my fish seem to have gotten lazy and don't graze as much as they used to, even though i don't feed them very often. I'm gonna be setting up my new 120g soon and want to keep the algae to a minimum

rabbitfish

rabbitfish

Had a scribbled rabbit fish, or two barred as its also called. they do not eat algae, they are omnivores and can and will eat anything like all fish. I had a bad experience with them, the fish did nothing except take food from my clowns, basicall a bully, always flashing his spines. Was a waste in my opinion. I think the normal and exquisite foxface are used often for algal trimming, I however prefer tangs. I think tangs do the best bang for the buck, basically eating all algae they can. If your truly looking to control algae then get an urchin, either tuxedo or pincushion, they will devistate your algae, and not harm your corals, thats only if their glued down properly, if not, its off for a ride.

cheers
David

My scribbled has eating bubble, hair and film algaes along with flake food and 'meaty' foods.. I think they are great and peaceful.

I'm telling you, there's no algae these fish won't eat. And they are not omnivores, they are Herbivores.

Actually, Siganus uspi has a fair percentage of zooplankton in its diet. Its diet should consist of plenty of plant and plankton-like matter. S. doliatus, on the other hand, is far more herbivorous in it feeding behavior.
