Wht do anenmones use to grow

Hi I was just wondering if when I dose calcium and alk to my tank, does my GBTA use that to grow or get more color like other corals use that to, or does it use the food I feed it to grow and get more color.... Or is there something else it uses, basically my Q is how does anemones grow the fastest

Tagging along. I have had a RBTA for about 9 months and it seems very healthy but it also does not seem to be growing. I don't direct feed mine.

Direct feed it some shrimp and you will see a BIG difference...

Any special instructions on feeding the shrimp? raw? cooked? size of pieces?...etc... (Sorry OP if I highjacked your thread!! )

Sorry I feed mine Raw shrimp I put a little tank water in a cup thaw out shrimp then squeeze excess water out and chop in half feed to my RBTA.. I do this about two to three times a week.. If you feed daily there is a good chance it will split which may not be a bad thing for you just making you aware.. As for the size of the pieces you need to determine that by the size of the anemone you are feeding.. Let me know if you have any other questions..
