Why Did My RBTA Change?

I got this RBTA in July I think. After acclimation and all that here is what it looked like-

About 2 months ago it changed over a few weeks to this-

And here is a tank shot (it's a 235)

Any ideas why it changed? Also since it changed, food doesn't stick to it as well. It used to be as if the tentacles were coated with super-glue but not any more.

I'm not so much concerned as I am curious.

Maybe it's the lighting when you took the photo, but it looks like it's starting to bleach a bit, and the bulbs are expanding which supposedly (don't quote me on it) has something to do with increasing the area for light reception. You could try increasing feeding. If it's staying put in its spot it's probably happy with everything else

What type of lighting do you have for the tank? My nem bleached in the beginning as well, after frequent feedings of silversides it started coming around.

/\ ... no, your rbta is bleaching. It looks like its lost a good amount of color. What kind of lighting do you have it under and how often do you feed it?

it looked like this with metal halide lighting and fed very often.. they all split into 3 or 4 and all of em were this color

Mine is almost directly under a 250w Mh. Total lighting over the whole tank is 2 250w MH, 2 24w CP actinic, and 2 54w T5 actinic.

Here are my recent water parameter as well

Ph 8.08
Ca 400
Alk 10.2 dkh
Mag 1260
Po4 0
No3 5
Iodine .01 (I'm working on getting this back up)
