I added this hammer frag on 5/23 and about two weeks ago this hammer closed up and did not open again until last night, where it appears to have died.
My water has no detectable nitrite, nitrate, or ammonia. I don't test for phosphate.
Ca 450
Alk 9.5
mag 1400
temp 78
Salinity 1.026 with freshwater auto top off system.
I don't think it was the water though as I have several other euphyllia, as well as leathers and a couple sps that look fine. I never saw any brown ooze and it still has color even after the coral died. It was also dipped in coral rx before added to the tank. I'm concerned that it had something that may spread to the rest of my tank.
Anyone have any idea or things to watch for in the coming days?
