Why do my pink Birdsnest always die?

I tried them 3 times and every time they last for about 1-2 weeks. All levels are fine and everything else in the tank seems to be fine. A little algae as always but much better then in the beginning...

One other thing I noticed is a brown algae on all the outlets in the tank. CL and sump returns. It also grows rapidly on the glass where the returning water from the pumps is hitting the glass... It seems that it's growing faster in the spots where the flow is high...I thought algae only grows in low flow areas?

What are you having happening to them? How high of flow and how high are they in the tank. My ORA Green Birdsnest was doing great up high and lots of flow...till...fell into a frogspawn. So, now I have it fragged out into like 10 pieces that are starting to recover. Tips of them are messed up but they're starting to come back. I had this happen to several corals so now everything has epoxy!!! (although until the coralline grows on it, it looks stupid. Just a bunch of white globs in the tank)

If you want to test out some different areas of you tank with a birdsnest, you can have on of mine and try to bring it back to health. I also have some other stuff you can have. pocilopora, etc...

They look awesome for about one week and then all of a sudden they start turning white...

I was suspecting the flow might have something to do with it but 3 different times in 3 different locations and two of them were with different closed loop systems... I think that the last one might have been in too much flow and too much light but that was the only thing I did not try... i did loose one acro which fell into a frogspawn. Not sure if something was too close to this one...

I guess it can't hurt to try one more time...
