Why do zoo's morph?

Morph - meaning a change in shape or form. I think you are referring to a color shift, if that is the case, it's usually attributed to environmental changes which result in a color shift. Lighting, more often than not I the culprit, but I wouldn't rule out parameters, additives etc.

A year ago a new friend gave me some small, Detroit Lions blue in color, zoanthids that are now an intense neon banana yellow. The yellow is far superior in color than the steel blue color they were. They have remained very yellow. There is no doubt in my mine if I were to place them in someone else's system, they would revert back to their original blue color.

I have had zoos change from a beautiful color to a different shape and brown.

It's happened to a lot of us.

I'd say that it is more due to lighting than anything. Some do better in high light and others in low light. Experiment a bit to see what looks the best.

Ya it happens to us all i think. Ive had some nice ones go brown and some brown ones turn amazing. I think it has to do with a little bit of everything but mostly lighting.

higher phosphates will brown out coral from my experience. Are you running some sort of phosphate remover? Curious------but are you skimming and what is your lighting?
