Why does my live rock have white spots?

When I set up my 10 gallon tank i put a medium sized "fully cured" live rock in. I let the tank cycle for about 3 weeks. During the first week I noticed some white areas on the rock. Most of the white is gone but I am left with some white spots on the rock.
Will the white go away? Is it bad?

In the picture theres some sand that settled on the rock but you can still see the white spots.

Those are probably spionid worms (safe) or just calcium carbonate accretions (safe). Ich on rocks would have to be seen with a microscope.
