Why is it so hard to find a 30gal long..

I want to make a new sump and I can not find a 30 gal long any where...

check that place in Parma ,,aquatic adventure they have alot of tanks under the rack on the right hand side of the store , and have a dollar a gallon sale every now and then ,, or just find a AGA dealer in your area and order one .,,,

I swear I have seen them at aquarium adventure.. bit pricey tho. I know they have had 33g long? and 40g long?

what are the dimensions of a 30G long is it that you are looking for? I do not want to appear ignorant, but there are alot of tanks out there labeled "long". I have a few that could fit that description- I'd have to remeasure. One is empty the other has my clowns in them. Hopefully my son-in-law can make my stand for Xmas and I'll put them in the hex tank. Both are glass, non-drilled. And I would not want top$$ for them.

30 longs are awesome sump tanks... I guess I was lucky... I got both of mine off of craigslist like I said, and both were under $20. :eek2:

btw... check out the western PA craigslist... if you find something before Friday just let me know. I can pick it up and bring it out for you.

I think I saw one on Craigslist tonight. I was looking in the general cat., household cat., pets, furniture cat., and farming. Sorry to be so vague. I can't remember which one it was in. Good Luck.

I posted on CL in the wanted section that I was looking for free or cheap tanks, and a guy emailed me saying he had a 30 long that he would give me rather than throwing away, so it's now one of my displays... And on my 75 gallon setup, I've got a 30 long as the sump that my buddy gave me for free.

Guess I'm just lucky. Maybe try posting on there that you're looking for cheap tanks, and see what comes up.
