Why is my RBTA sick?

My tank has been up since 3/06 and about 10month ago I picked up a LTA and a RBT from a member who was breaking down his tank.

The RBTA was huge and healthy, 12+ Inch tenticals etc.. Since then it has shrunk down to 1" wide with .5inch tenticals.

However the LTA has does very well, its very healthy.

I've tried everything but cant get my rose healthy again, do you think its because I have two Anemones in the same tank? (40breeder)

I assumed it would be okay since the person I bought them from had no problems. (close to same size tank)..

No I don't think having an LTA and BTA in the same tank have anything to do with it unless they were in physical contact for a while.

I've had my 2 BTAs (one rose and one green) and my LTA in the same tank for a long time with no ill effects.

I did have shrinkage problems with one BTA in my nano 24. I found that my water in my 24 was too unstable even with regular water changes and such. Check your levels, especially your nitrates. Mine shrank because of nitrate fluctuations. Since moving it over to my 90gal it has bounced back bigtime.

It was about 6" when I got it. In my nano it shrunk to about 2". Now it's back to 6" and still growing in my 90. I attribute this to my stable water conditions.

My nano was turned into a fuge and I have a large Urchin Pro skimmer in my sump. I still do weekly water changes on my system.

The only difference between my nano at the time and my 90 was the addition of more water volume, a skimmer, and a fuge. My husbandry has remained the same.

Do you have a skimmer or fuge?

im guessing chemical warfare between the anemones 40 gallon isnt very big, and i dont tihnk its jsut a coincidence that the bta is struggling while the lta is taking off
