Why is one mushroom splitting and the other isn't?

I got a spotted mushroom and a striped mushroom at the same time. The spotted mushroom has split about 10 times so far and the striped mushroom has not split at all. Neither one has tried to move from where they are. Is there a reason why one is splitting and the other is not?

Some mushrooms don't replicate very quickly. My first mushroom took 9 months to split and now won't stop.

Time Time Time! lol my mushrooms have split like crazy but it took about a year for them to split

You could always cut it in half with a scalpel. I promise you won't kill it.

You can't tell someone that. What you've said is not true. You can not promise that.

If you want more mushrooms, go buy them. If you'd like them to split then take the time and effort to maintain the proper environment for them. They naturally split there is no need to cut them. Demonstrate proper reef keeping and you will be pleasantly surprised with the outcome. :headwallblue:
