Why So Many Micro Bubbles?!!!

I have an Eshopps S-120 cone skimmer that is putting out a large amount of micro bubbles which of course is then entering the display tank. The skimmer has been running for about a month. Should be broken in by now. Any thoughts on how to get rid of the micro bubbles?

Thanks!

buy a filter media bag and tie it to the return tube. or in a quick need of a repair i have even used one of my wifes clean pantyhoes

Thanks for the info. Do you put anything in the media bag?

nope, just leave it empty. that should take care of your problem. you dont want it tight up against the outlet either, make sure you leave it loose and you will notice a portion of the bag floating. that is normal as it is catching the bubbles. only portion you want tight is the string or what ever else you attach the bag with.

good luck:thumbsup:

make SURE you keep that bag clean if you let organics build up in it you will have a skimmer fountain and return all the crap to the dt

Thanks for all the info. I will give it a try.
Are Eshopps skimmers known for a large amount of micro bubbles?
