Why Such a High Cost on Shipping From Direct Website

I had a question about the shipping prices on the GHL direct website.

I have determined that the optical level sensor that I have has expired. It is over one year old and out of warranty. I went to the direct website to buy an ATO level sensor and clip to support it. This total was around $ 49.00. When I went to calculate shipping, it came up with shipping cost of $25.00 to North Carolina. Is this correct? I did not think it would cost $25.00 to ship a ATO and clip that probably weight less than 2 pounds?

Can someone help me out with this question. I need to order this items but the shipping is a little outrageous to me.

thats becuase you are selecting UPS shipping in the drop down box, if you select Canada post shipping you will then get the cheaper price.

Please see below the drop down box with both options

When I tried to order the drop down box just showed me UPS. Maybe a one time glitch. No matter, I will get it ordered today.

Thanks for the help.

sometimes you have to drop it down a couple times for it to rest, but what's weird is that if you choose canada post small packages the ship time says 198 days!!! Is that really what it is? In fact the only one that ships in a reasonable amount of time costs almost the same as the UPS option.

I think it is a safe bet to assume if something says 198 days for shipping it is a mistake ;)

its generated code from Canada Post that we have no control over.
