Why the name Tang´s ??

I Know that this is a strange question, but where is the origin of the name tang ??

Why tang´s ??? Are There any specific reason for this name ?

The spine on the tail is called a "tang"

The name , Tang, is derived from the German word Seetang, meaning seaweed. It references what all Tangs eat- seaweed.
