Why won't my outlet turn on?

I have an outlet on my eb8 that will not turn on. I've tried via the display, my computer, via the Droid app, and via the net. Every time I set it to auto it switches right back to "manual off" and shows the outlet to be off. This outlet is controlling my q tank heater and now over night the temp has dropped to 63. I'm afraid that everything will be dead when I get home from work. Any suggestions?

Can you set it to manual on? If so just do that and watch the temp if your heater doesn't have a t-stat. That or move it to a different outlet or plug it into a wall outlet.

It won't accept any changes to that outlet. I'm at work, so just trying a different outlet isn't an option

Make sure yo are pressing update not just enter or return. Also try to reprogram the outlet to set on and see if that helps.

Also make sure that you do not have another outlet with the same name.

That could be the problem. In my haste to set up the q tank I just used an open outlet and didn't bother to rename it. It finally started working before I got home. Thankfully, everything was ok.
