would my polyp extension come out at night and not the day? I dont see many during the day, there are some, just not as much

That's how it is in nature.

The critters that corals feed on tend to be much more active at night.

Also the fish and critters that might find the extended coral polyps tasty are active in the day and less so at night.

Does that make sense?

ok...thanks...I understand now. I was worried my corals were not doing well. I have a friend that has a reef tank and his polyps are out like mad 24-7.

I've found you can train some of your corals to come out more during the day ie when feeding.
