wierd attachments

I got this snail with 2 pipe cleaner type growths on it, any ideas? Sorry about the pic quality, still learning.

Those are a type of algae. Good but I think they disappear as fast as they appear. I'm bringing this back to the top for you because I cannot remember the name. :)
 
It's called Neomeris sometimes called Spindleweed.

From the book "Reef Invertebrates" by Anthony Calfo and Bob Fenner...

"...They are not inclined to spread prolifically in the aquarium but can be maintained with stable water quality."

"...this alga is not actively cultivated and serves little purpose beyond ornamentation. They are quite adaptable to a wide range of light including modest levels. Neomeris can be found toward 100 feet at depth, in low light or shade, and often away from the reef."
 
There are several species of Neomeris, some are fuzzier than the others. If you don't want them to spread in your tank then scrape them off the snail shell. I think they're really pretty but a few people have posted images showing LR covered by the Neomeris and complaining about it.
