today I noticed my 2 occ clowns had multiple black dots on all of their fins...I thought brook and ich but to my understanding they appeared white. Is this just normal? If it isnt, what is it and how would I go about treating it? I could try and get some pics tonight...

Thanks
Brian

What do you have in the tank as far as corals go ?

If the clowns are trying to be hosted by a coral, there is a chance that the black dots are just stings/marks from the corals, and are completely harmless. Though pictures of it would be helpful.

Black ich is not that common in clowns, most likely a reaction to coral. My clowns play in green star polyps all day long and they developed a ton of black spots. I'll try to get a shot of mine so you can compare.

to be honest, i havnt seen them in any coral but i dont watch them 24/7 so it could be. I have a frogspawn hammer and some zoos as of now, so that would make sense since they have a good sting. Ill try and get a pic.
