Probably, yes. They'll also tear it apart to wear it.
And tuxedo urchins and pincushion urchins are two different things. They're very similar, but they aren't the same.

Urchins (all urchins) are omnivores that mainly eat macro algae. So if (as I assume) you were thinking about putting one in a planted tank, don't.

They can also act like a bulldozer and just kind of make a mess at times.
