Wild bicinctus

+1 Coloration (natural) and especially body shape of wild caught clowns cannot be beat. Beautiful fish.

Agreed. I own a wild pair of melanopus in my FOWLR and a aussie clarkii pair in my reef. I'm not sure I will ever like the tank bred versions of these large clowns.... at least not the ones I've seen. I think most people are focused on aberrants.

As long as tank bred clowns look freakish I will never buy them, ORA bred leucokranos on DD look messed up. Wild ones just have better color and body shape.

I agree, but it's a messy conversation on these forums :)

Lol you are correct.... Please I do not mean to offend anyone with my previous post on how tank bred fish are freakish, it is just my opinion.

Wow almost pure yellow bicinctus. Score!

Hopefully I will be able to get a pair that is as yellow as the ones you got. Looks like a great shipment came in from the Red Sea. :D

Glad to know they're eating. They look fantastic! Where are you going to put them?

Not sure, maybe the Solana. Maybe put the clarkiis back in the Solana, and but these two in the reef. I'll decide once the male is doing better. If I end up with one, then not sure what I'll do. I'm not waiting another 10 years for a replacement ;)

Those are the best looking Bicinctus I have seen apart from diving pics. Really nice! Good luck with those guys.

So far so good. He's not completely adjusted yet, but I've watched him take a few pellets off the floor of the tank, even, so that's a good sign. Definitely not as skinny as a couple days ago.

Do they really QT for 8 weeks? I asked them if they had Bicinctus in stock a few weeks back and they said no and that I'd have to prepay to get on their waiting list.

I was able to pick up two singles from another site and they are doing well, feeding and hosting my gigantea:

Were those from bluezoo? I recall them listing for a bit. Very nice! How long have you had them? You didn't QT??

Not as yellow as yours SDguy but these fishes are beautiful. I love their swimming pattern, the solid yellow/gold fins, and the shimmering blue hue of the two white stripes under radiums.

Got them on LA. Two week guarantee just in case.

They were available for only one day I think. I saw them on Bluezoo available so I checked other sites. I got lucky. Plus it's a lot cheaper. Also I was taking a risk as I don't know what color they are.
