wild caught vs tank raised

i know the pros and cons of both, i am going to purchase 2 gold-striped maroons, i have a choice between wild caught and tank raised.
i would rather get tank raised but have heard they do not host in anemones. is this a total myth or what. would love to hear from owners of tank raised clowns that host...how long? does it even happen, blah blah blah.
btw i have a rose BTA, that'll work for GSMC right?

MYTH busted over and over again!

beautifully, entacmaea quadricolor is the natural host to premnas biaculeatus.

btw, the orafarm t-r gsm's which i've seen recently at petco have been very nice without the overbite and or misbar issues of those of years past.

Two out of three of my pairs are tank raised (( at least that is how they were sold )) and they don't have any issues being hosted.

Like Marc said, that myth has been busted.

Go with the tank raised.

If you have to ask, go with tank-raised. If you needed wild caught you wouldn't be asking the question...

I don't think there is any truth to that tank raised clowns not hosting anemones. Ive never had a problem with clowns not hosting except for percs and false percs. I think in most cases those two types are the ones people have the biggest problem with not hosting in an anemone.

All my tank raised clowns have hosted.

Tank raised fish have less chance of introducing parasites or desease into your tank but they are also less resistant to desease since they have never been subjected to them...

I my experience will go to most anemones, natural host or not to avoid feeling exposed.
Does not always mean happiness as the first three will likely rear their head ruin things ( for you and them).

my wild caught maroons were brash without an anemone and reclusive/skittish when they got one!
my tank raised onyx are happy with my hand in the tank even though they hosta haddoni.
tank raised ethically sound do it when you can.
