Wild Clowns

How much tougher are wild clowns to keep than tank raised. I'm looking at some black saddle percs? I saw the name on the wholesale list. I'm thinking that they're onyx's. If I get wild clowns, I can setup a QT tank to watch out for brook.

All the saddle percs we received were Black Saddle Backs. Wholesalers usually at least reference the ones I use to get oders from would have Onyx listed just as True Percs or True Percs Papua New Guiene.

There are virtually no CB black A.polymnus available.

Saddlebacks are prone to popeye, other than that they are pretty tough guys and gals. They will dive into S.haddoni's mouth regulary and evetually migh kill the nem. These clowns are rough.

I would stick with black CB Os from AU.

Ok, I think I keep posting in the wrong forum. I have no intention of getting an anenome, I just saw the forum title say clownfish. My initial plan was to get some CB occies from liveaquaria.com but I'm having trouble spending 60$ a piece on my first saltwater fish. Even with the 2 week guarantee. My tank has been setup for 5 months with me having to take everything out and setting the tank back up twice in the last month.

WC clowns are hit and miss. Some species are bad shippers and others are Brook infested. My suggestion to you is spend a little extra and buy CB clowns. There are other places then just LA. Best of luck and enjoy them when you finally get them.
