wild frag fun...

Hi all, I just wanted to share some interesting aspects of the "wild frag", and compare some notes about growth and how long to color up.

I have 1 frag that was yellow in color, started growing and the tips are finally starting to turn blue after a year.

I have another frag that finally started growing after a year and the tips are a bright purple.

Any other opinions>?

I am looking to see what other experiences other reefers have had with wild frags.. for example

How long to start to grow?
How long to color up?

I know frags from other reefers start to grow immediatly, but wild frags seem to take longer.

Some can take upto a year to do much ......Some take right off.

I got this piece sometime last summer. Both pictures were taken under 400 watt Iwasakis with a pair of 110 watt actinics.

Ive got med size colony Really just more of a bloob of sps but when i bought it a 1 year ago it was kinda cool looking and had a (still does)bright red fan/xmas worm growing in the top of it.while it was mostly brown with green polyops it had a hint of purple so figured it had potencial.well here we are a year later no real growth but it is turning blue.So i'm hoping its gonna do something now.
