There are 2 large wild (now captive due to very cold waters last month here in Florida) sea horses at a local facility and they are not doing well. I have not seen them or know any other info except they are not doing well.
I thought I would ask here what chances I would have to set up a tank, get special LFS food for them and try to give them attention before I get involved.
I am not sure why they haven't been released, how they came upon them except it is a Florida reputable facility which has aquarium displays for the public- but sea horse are not in their realm of experience. I have read enough to know they have different requirements than my reefs...and would normally not attemp a tank....but I think they need someone to care for them.
Any one willing to coach me if I can retrieve more info tomorrow? I feel badly, they should be released, but do not have background yet on the circumstances.
I have a 29g tank, and can set up ocean water tank at 70- to 72 degrees and buy what ever I nee through the system......
Thanks!
