Will 3 extra Volts hurt my solenoid?

I have the 12VDC solenoid from STCValave.com.

My wall wart says 120 in - 12 VDC out. I measured it and got 15.82 out. Will these couple extra V mess up the solenoid? My wall wart is 12VDC @ 1 A if it matters.

And I am using the 255 relay from aquahub as well.

Also, the solenoid is 12VDC @ .5A and my wall wart is 12VDC @ 1A. I know thats double but will it burn it up?

you should be just fine. Most 12V stuff can run from 10 - 15 but it is better to be a bit higher than lower. A car alternator can push 15 volts to the 12V system...

Ok. I got a bigger problem. I got the solenoid to work going straight from the wall to the solenoid. But when I tried to power up the relay, its not working. Both side are switching at the same time.
This is how I have it wired.

Ok. I switched the upper switch, and I can see one side go, then the other as its supposed to, but i am still not getting an power to the solenoid.

Check your voltage on the leads. Find the leads that have 12v when its supposed to, and the leads when its not. Should be able to hunt it down.
