will a 6000 be too much for my tank?

I'm tryig to simplify my new tank setup(55g - 33x18x24h -centre overflow to 15g sump) and go without a closed loop by adding a stream.

I have the return from sump(~ 700gph) on a wavysea in one back corner, and am planning to add a 6000 on a single controller dialed right back in the other back corner.

Inhabitants:

xenia, anthelia, frogspawn, GSP, button polyps, RBTA, Crocea Clam, Pair of false percs, YWG, Green Clown Goby.

I have about 3" argamax sand bed.

Is this going to be an insane amount of flow?

I have a similar setup. I was also worried about too much flow but didn't want to go with a closed loop either on such a small tank. It was also important to fit all the equipment under the stand.

I have a 45 gallon, 36X15x19H with left corner overflow. Return pump is 600 GPH on a seaswirl, left front corner.

Have a 6000 in a deco rock next to the overflow about 2/3 of the way down in the tank pointing up toward the middle/top of the tank. Pulses from 30% to 100%.

Sandbed is fine with medium grain on top, about an inch deep.

SPS and LPS tank, 1 blue/gold rabbitfish and a melanurus wrasse.

Have had no trouble with sand flying around.

Inhabitants seem to like the flow or at least they are not troubled by it.

I'll try and take a couple and post them. Working today and tomorrow, so perhaps Tuesday. Here's one before I got the Stream in:

Here are a couple pics for ya. I had to chop up the deco rock quite a bit to get it in there and not be too obtrusive. It's still pretty big but I think I may put some encrusting monti on it to hide it more.
