Will a clown make my BTA less likely to move?

I have a BTA in a 40g, with 2x250 12k MH's. I recently changed from a single 10k to the 2 12k's, and the anemone moved when I changed the lights (not totally unexpected).

It moved from a great place for visibility, to the back of the tank where I can only see the tips of the tenticles.

In a separate tank, I have a tomato clown that I've had for about a year, which I would like to move to be with the BTA. But, I would like for the BTA to move just a little more, so that I can at least see it again (it just needs a few inches in either direction).

My question is whether it would be less likely to move after adding the clown. If it's more likely to move with no clown hosting it, I'll wait. If it would not matter at all, I'll put the clown in today. What do you think?

When I put mine in my old tank it took all of a day to find its spot and never moved again... for years. I don't think it will move if it has found a place it likes, in relation to the light, with or without the clown. Unless your willing to move the rocks I think its happy where it is. Maybe if you block the light with something it might creep out and then gradually acclimate it to the new lighting by uncovering the light little by little. If the clown is in there he will just follow along. Hope this helps in some way.

From my experience, I'd say that the anemone won't factor a hosting clown in its decision to move. When mine have moved, the clowns tend to follow the anemones around the tank.

Best of luck,

Roy
