Will a copperband and yellow longnose butterfly get along?

I have a 150 tall and by far my most active fish is my yellow longnose butterfly. He doesn't pick on anyone and I can hand feed him. I've been fighting aptasia and I'd like to get a copperband to try to control them. I tried one before I got the YLN but it died after 2 days. I think the 3 tangs freaked it out.

If I get a bigger copperband, would he play nice with the YLN?

To answer your question, yes, a copperbanded butterfly will get along with a yellow longnose butterfly. In my own personal experience. I've tried it on two separate occasion and both times it worked successfully without any fighting

However the copperband is a very delicate species. They don't adapt to aquarium life as well as the longnose. Also with three tangs there could be alot of competition in the tank, which would cause stress on the butterfly. Now for the aptasia issue, a copperband will not always eat the aptasia. So if that's why you want one, it may not always work out.

This.

I'm not putting a filefish in my tank, too much risk and I'm not going to get a CBB either, the more I read they more I think they aren't the best choice for a reef tank with quick, aggressive swimmers.

I'll either add more peps or get some burghia nudi's.
