I am planning to set up a small 12" cube with some Trimma gobies. About 1" in length. This tank will also have a large frogspawn for the centerpiece. I am concerned the tiny gobies will become a snack.
A few years ago in my big tank I had a Brazilian flameback angel that I spooked. He swam into my frogspawn and got stung and caught in the tentacles. The frogspawn actually started to pull him in and try to eat him. I had to reach my hand in the tank pull him out of the frogspawn and hold him in my hand for several minutes until he recovered from the shock.
Interestingly at the same time I had a yellow clown goby that would perch on the top of the frogspawn and not get stung.
So what do you think? Will trimma gobies become expensive coral food?
