As the title states, I have a 100 g reef tank with a green chromis wrasse and wanted to yellow chromis wrasse. I have 100 lb of live rock and a 3 inch sand bed in the tank. Need your opinion before adding fish. I once, added a yellow chromis wrasse to my 25 gallon reef tank with 4 line wrasse in it, and 30 seconds later :uzi: the yellow wrasse went to fish heaven. Need advise

Chromis and wrasse are two different types of fish :hmm2:

Scientific names?
Pics?

Coris wrasse?

green wrasse is called Halichoeres chloropterus

yellow wrasse is called Halichoeres chrysus

Thanks
I will try to add pics

My experience is that the green coris wrasse is a much better behaved fish. The green ones become pretty nasty as they grow.

^^^^ Do you mean that the yellow coris wrasse is a much better behaved fish?

I had a green wrasse in my 120 and I loved him.....UNTIL lol I tried to add other wrasses. He killed a melanarus and a McCoskers. ARRRG! I would not recommend a green wrasse.
