Will a Matted Filefish eat.... everything?!?!

Hi, I've got a Matted Filefish in my tank with 4 other fish and a bunch of live rock. No corals yet - but that's what this post is about. I originally got the file fish because I had a pretty serious Aptasia outbreak (hitch hiked in with the live rock I'm thinking). Within a week he ate 100% of the Aptasia and I haven't seen a single Aptasia at all for the past 4-5 months. I've read reviews on this guy on liveaquaria (mainly) and at other places around the yet with differing opinion on the ability to keep him with corals in the tank without him eating them. Some say he eats corals, some say he doesn't at all. Here's a direct link to a description of him. http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_display.cfm?c=15+30+2562&pcatid=2562

I was hoping to get some direct opinions and advice here on the guy. I'm going to get corals no matter what. I just don't know if I need to get rid of him before I do so or try to see how things go with him in the tank along with the corals. The corals I'm more interested in are the mushrooms along with other typical beginner and nano tank style corals (aka the easier and hardier ones).

Thanks for any and all input.

get the cheap ones, see if he eats them. if he does, pull him out. if he doesnt, add what you want til you catch him eating them, then evict him. best case, he doesnt eat any of them

Thanks for the info. Sounds like odds are he's going to be hitting the highway. Hopefully my local fish shop will give me a few bucks credit on trade in for something. The Duncan Green polyp was specifically one of the ones I'm wanting to get. As much as I love the guy, he's gotta go :(
