Will a peppermint shrimp eat dwarf feather dusters?

I'm not sure if a peppermint shrimp would actually eat the worm itself, but I had to remove my Feather duster worm from my tank. The peppermint shrimps and my cleaner shrimp wouldn't leave it alone. I found out later that they where eating the mucus or something off the worm. They would "ruffle" and pick at the "feather" and it would go in it's tube, pulling the legs of the shrimp with it. The shrimp would get loose, and come back and mess with it again.

Not sure how often this happens, but I can't keep any kind of feather duster in the tank with the 5 shrimp. I even tried spot feeding the shrimp on a regular basis, and they still messed with the feather duster.:rolleye1:

Are they already messing with it? If they aren't, they probably won't. My shrimp went after mine....I think it was it's second day in the tank.

It did right when I put the duster in my tank. We're on day 2 now and it's still fine. It took the pep 2 days to kill my aiptasia. I just don't trust it but maybe it will leave the duster alone. Time will tell I guess. LFS already said they would take the pep back if it started committing acts of violence.

Just keep an eye on them. If the pep shrimp don't leave it alone, you may need to choose either the shrimp or the feather duster.
I know how it feels. I love feather dusters, but I need the peppermint shrimp to handle the aiptasia.

No problems here, my Peppermint shrimp inspected the pink dwarf feather duster when I first added it, but then left it alone.
