Will A. Percs host in an RBTA?

I know there are no guarentees, but I want to add a nem for my bonded pair of A. Perculas. this will be my first nem, so I wanted to stick with the RBTA which might be the easiest for me.

So, just like the subject line says... Will my A. Perculas host in a RBTA? The FAQ in the sticky above doesn't have the RBTA as a natural host for A. Percs.

thanks

In a word, "maybe." Some do, some don't. Mine never would. Once I had acquired enough experience I eventually tried out a Heteractis magnifica. Hosting occurred within about 30 seconds of the anemone hitting the water. Do not expect that your fish will do this given they are not natural hosts. It may take some time for them to discover it. Even if they try it out they may like the feel of one of your other corals better and resume hosting something else. If they don't host, I wouldn't give up on it though, it's something that can take weeks and weeks to occur. In the meantime, look at the bright side of things, a RBTA can be a beautiful addition to your tank.

I haven't purchased the RBTA yet, just researching to see if it might work with my A Percs.
I am leaning towards the RBTA because they are beautiful and "easier" than some other nems.

I am open to other suggestions if you have any. I am still considering a Long Tentacle, but would kinda prefer the RBTA.

I have a Rbta that I just got a week ago, it is sitting about 4" above my frogspawn. The clowns are hosting the frogspawn, with the Rbta right above it. I tried to put food near the Rbta to try to entice them, but that didn't work. So for right now just leaving it alone, hopefully they will switch to the Rbta one of these days.

that is one of those kind of yes and no questions i have a RBTA and my falce percs host it......infact both of them never leave the nem....it took a month or so for them to host.....but they can, its funny mine never showed any interest in my frogspawn or hosting anything else i put in the tank but they took to the nem

It took my false percs almost a year to host in my anemone. And they only started hosting because I moved and they were stressed out.

Mine just happen today too, after only 1 week. Its still trying out its new home, but I think that it likes it, still goes back and forth from the Rbta and the Hammer.
