Will a Pistol Shrimp have a symbiosis with a greenbanded Goby

Will a greenbanded goby have a symbiosis with a pistol shrimp? I would like to get a greenbanded goby and I was wondering if it would have a sysbiosis with a greenbanded goby?

Most liekly not. Green banded's are just a smalled type of goby, not a shrimp goby. I am not saying it wouldn't work... but the odds are against you.

^^^What he said. lol If you want a nice looking shrimp goby, get yourself a red banded Hi-fin goby. I've got a regular banded Hi-fin goby and pistol shrimp and they are a fun pair to watch at feeding time, but you never see them any other time. Do what I did and get all 3 lol but if you do that, start upping your water changes or get a protein skimmer.

Kelly, I think you may need start upping the tank size not the water changes, thats a lot of fish in a 12 gallon.

I am going to get the greenbanded goby I just wonderd if I needed a shrimp for him. Guess not.
