Will a Tunze Hydrofoamer fit my skimmer?

I have an old MSX Extreme 250 skimmer and one of the PSK 2500's finally died. Not bad really, I got a lot of years out of it.

Anyway, it looks like the Hydrofoamer 9420 might have the air / water output that would be a good replacement.

Or are there other / better options I could be looking at?

Thanks

Considering the other sicce psk 2500 pump still running on my skimmer is the same age as the one that died I have been thinking it might be time to look at a new skimmer. I have often thought that the 250 extreme with its wide neck is too big for my light bio-load 150 g

I haven't looked at skimmers in quite some time. What are some good options for 500 or less that would fit my tank?

I might consider the Tunze 9415 then. It's just over $500 but you cant beat their customer service if and when you need it.

I have replaced a Sicce 2500 with a tunze 9420 on a I-Tech 200 skimmer large 8'' cone skimmer, I also put it on my ER CS 180 skimmer another 8'' body skimmer. I did not have to change my settings at all I feel that the 9420 is a better pump than the 2500 starts every time, the impellers are cheap and easy to get.

Another option is the Siccy Synrca line sorry I always misspell it, the 1000 would be a correct match, the pumps are cheaper than the tunze but the impellers are more expensive and you don't get Roger's C/S at Tunze. HTH
