will adding deadrock to half established tank work?

starting a 10gal tank with 50% dt cured water and 50% new saltwater and drysand being poored in. im getting a big chunk of my liverock and putting it in but i also want to put in a big conch shell that had to be removed from my tank a while ago due to not enough room. the conch shell has been scrubbed and is ready to be put in, but since it is not cured, will it start up a cycle?

If it's just a shell, there's nothing that needs to be processed. A good rinse is all you really need. It's no different than just adding a piece of pvc pipe for shelter.
