just wondering if i am stuck having to manually remove all these little tube worms by hand? or is there something reef safe that will eat or remove them for me?

my tank has become over run with these little buggers..

can some one tell me what they are, how they breed and why they have found my tank to be a seemingly perfect breeding ground?

Spiroirbid Worms; a harmless filter feeder. If they are growing in population, then you have lots of extra food in the water column. Just use a razor blade and scrape them right off the glass. No harm leaving them there.

i dont think the population can grow any larger as they all ready cover the entire glass surface on the back of the tank...of course behind and all over the bottoms of the cave rocks..

and LOL i couldnt help but notice your avitar is in Canadian there Travis...

You can use a scraper to get them off. I have them growing all in my HOB filter. Once took a plastic spoon to them. They are easy to knock off. But again they are harmless...Good Luck....
