will kent phosphate sponge hurt sps in anyway?

basically my title says it
i am thinking about adding some kent phosphate sponge to my system and would like to know if there could be any side affects?

There is a danger. Sps become used to depending on nutrient and phosphate in an overly enriched system. If you pack the tank with a remover too quickly, you can take away some of their food source and they can bleach out. It is best to add slowly to your tank. Hope this helps and good luck.
