Will letting a tank sit dry ruin silicone

I have a 250 that had freshwater in it at my parents. I drained it last night and cleaned it to get it ready to move up to my place. Does it hurt to not have water in it. Cause I'm not ready to fill it it for say a month

Silicone ages, but it doesn't dry out from the presence or absence of water AFAIK. Dave.M

If your only talking about a month in a climate control Env you should be ok. The main things that deteriorate the bond are direct sunlight, cold, and heat. Also saltwater is a little more abrasive but I wouldn't stress over it. Worse case scenario you do a 24 hour leak test with a 3.00 tube of silicone on standby.
