Chiller Help Needed:
I have a 360 gallon aquarium with a 1hp Pacific Coast chiller. The tank is in the living room and the chiller will be set up in th garge. The distance between the tank/sump/pump intake and chiller is approx. 23 feet. I plan to run the plumbing in the crawl space (below the living room floor). The pump to run the chiller is a Reeflo Barracuda and will sit in crawl space too. My concern is, that the pump may suck my sump dry. The sump is a little larger than a 55 gallon aquarium. This was the max size sump I could fit in my stand. I have (2) 1 1/2" drains (no room in the overflow box for more). My question is...will the pump suck my sump dry? Also... will the chiller be able to accurately detect aquarium temp due to possible heat loss in route to the chiller?
Any comments/advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Brian
