will my clowns pair

I purchased a clown a year ago(orange and white) and a few months ago I purchased another (black and white). As soon as they met in the tank the first time they fought. Only for a few minutes, it was clear to me that my orange one had become the female. Shes twice the size as my black one, so my question is how long does it take for them to pair up and mate. If they will at all.

I have paired clowns that spawned a week later, and others that have taken years! How old/what size are the fish?

did you confirm the B/W was a male or juvenile (gender-neutral) when you bought it?....if you have two females neither will turn back to male and fighting may persist until one "loses"....

they are like to peas in a pod now, after the intial five minute fight it was over. I dont know what sex they were at the time of purchse. One is twice the siz as the other, so I think I have a male and female. They have been together for a few months now, the newest one might be still to young to spawn dont know. We'll see, exciting.

Hey sounds exciting I put four clowns with a damsel im hoping to breed some more clownish keep us updated.. my three clowns are small and ones huge and alot darker
