Will my corals color come back?

I received some sps corals in the mail yesterday, and one of them was a purple acropora. The only part that is purple is the tops, the rest is just brown. With good water, lights, flow will the purple ever come back where the brown is?

Thanks.

if the coral originally had color then turned brown after you put it in your tank, then it will stay brown. if it had color at one point in your tank, then turned brown, then it will color back up again.

Bought corals that were white and corals that were brown and over time they have colored up well.Moving corals around the tanks to see how flow and light effect the color can make a difference.

It was brown when I got it out of the fish stores bag, none of my sps have brown on them.

yes, so in your case, it should color up.

I meant my previous post as a general statement.
generally if the coral browns out when placed in one's tank, it usually meant the tank has not enough light, improper water params, etc. so in this case, a browned out coral will remain brown unless the problem is corrected.

also note there was another thread from someone who buys bargain browned out corals and got one with AEFW and now has to deal with it. infested coral can be browned out.
