Alright, so this morning I woke up and looked at my maroon clown only tank. My newly purchased green bta had moved over next to the heater. It was half attached to the heater and the side attached was totally grey/white and oozing slime..Completely dead flesh. The other half looked ok. So I knew what i had to do. I got a cutting board and took and sharp knife and cut it directly down the middle. I got rid of the dead part and put the ok half back in the tank. It attached to the rock and curled up to be quite small. Some of the tips are still bubbly and some are slightly shriveled up. Is there a chance it will heal and live?
