Will my tank cycle or spike?

I just upgraded from a 90 gallon tank, to another 90 gallon reef ready tank today, I added a 30 gallon sump. I used all the established substrate and live rock, crushed coral substrate roughly 1-2 inches deep. I also used all of the old water from the tank. I added about 20 gallons of new water with the addition of the sump. I also have a 20 gallon refugium that drains into the tank.

Do you think the tank will spike or cycle?

yes you will get a spike then it will cycle. should be short lived though.

You should see a spike, the substrate is what would worry me the most. It can hold lots of nasties down deep depending how long it's been set up.

I would think that the spike will be fast and the bacteria will catch up quickly.
