Will new lights work?

Nova Extreme 30" 48 watt T5 High Output Fixture is what I just got from the store and the owner a friend of mine let me know that I could be ok with anemones or things such as hammer coral is this actually true. Its only 48 watts on a 29 but he said the spectrum is what mattered and that I should be fine . . . .

T5HO is a good light...if the bulbs have individual reflectors you could probably get away with some LPS, but I'm not entirely sure that would be enough light for an anemone.

Should I just try a condi to begin with up near the top and see how it pans out?
