I had a misshap some time ago...was changing baffles in my sump and was running only on one side. Other side dry and with new baffles being siliconed. Within two hours of applying silicone we had a transformer burn up and I was without power at the worst possible time. Sump flooded into new silicone and I feared the worst with no water made up to do a change with and new silicone drenched, soaked less then 2 hours after application. So I did the best I could do.....nothing. End of story. Fish inverts and corals showed no damage and the baffles were as strong as any other in the sump.
