I have a couple of Ocellaris clowns and was wondering if i get some frogspawn or hammer coral if they would host.

i got a pair of snows to host in my rbta a week after i put them in. even though they are tank raised, they still have their instincts.

Yes. Clownfish retain their instincts, wild, tank raised, raised on the moon, they will all posses the ability to be hosted.

My tank raised Osc clowns are not picky, in 3 different tanks they've hosted 3 different anemones, a frogspawn, and a torch within an hour of being introduced to each. I don't like to move them, but when I have to for whatever reason I know that they'll be fine as long as there is some kind of softy in the tank. Just be careful around elegance corals, they'll batter them to death.

My tank raised male perc has hosted every possible coral in my tank, nems, frogspawn, hammer head, ricordea, leathers, zoas, xenia, and even blastos

Note that not all corals are capable of hosting because they simply cant take the abuse the clown hands. My perc has hosted a coral to death 1 or 2 times

I have 2 perc's and 2 black ocellaris in a tank with 2 BTA's, various soft, torch and frogspawn corals. Both black and 1 perc stay in 1 corner and the other perc is a loner in the opposite corner of the tank. Any way to entice them to host something? My regal tank sits in the frogspawn all the time; but the clowns don't get the hint.
